Part 3: The Work Behind the Wag
When we started the Tokiloken Foundation, we were driven by one thing: love. Love for a dog who beat the odds, and love for every dog whose story is still being written. What we didn’t realize at the time was just how much work goes into turning that love into impact.
This past year has been eye-opening. We’ve learned how to set up an online store, navigate nonprofit paperwork, and build a brand — all while juggling the emotional side of telling Loki’s story and hearing others like it. There have been late nights, technical headaches, and moments of doubt… but there’s also been joy. So much joy.
Every time someone buys a sticker, shares a post, or sends us a message about their own dog — we’re reminded why this matters.
We’re not perfect, and we’re not finished. We’re learning as we go — how to grow sustainably, how to stay true to our mission, and how to keep Loki’s light shining in everything we do.
As we continue to build, we’re embracing the mess, the growth, and the heart behind it all. Because at the end of the day, it’s not about flawless execution — it’s about showing up for dogs who deserve another chance.
